Life is Weird...

and interesting
and exciting
and annoying
and beautiful
and confusing
and frustrating
and good

So those of you who read, or at least check back somewhat regularly, have probably been disappointed lately.  I took a sabbatical from blogging, but without warning, my sincere apologies...AGAIN!  Y'all should be used to my intermittent posting by now, right?!

Anyway - let me do my best to catch you up...
*I went back to Liberia to represent our group and present the final report (July 12-28)
*I applied for over 35 NGO jobs
*I accompanied my friend Cari to North Carolina for a weekend
*I caught up on all my Hulu and Netflix for the summer
*I packed up all of my belongings and put them in a basement in DC (thanks to a lovely couple from my church)!
*I couch surfed in DC for a little while and had a fabulous going away party (thanks Cari and Teresa)!
*I packed up my big ole backpack and set off on Aug. 17th to visit friends and fam
     *New York City, Chicago, Springfield, Kansas City, & Milwaukee (with a few stops in between)
*I'm "moving" out to San Francisco on Sept. 10th


If that sounds a bit chaotic or confusing, it's because it is - I would have it no other way!  People are starting to think I have a crazy bone, but I contend that I still know what I'm doing - God has a plan and if I just keep following my heart, I can't mess it up!  Or at least that's what I tell myself!

This time is so special to me - to spend with the people I love.  I'll tell you what - I've never felt so loved or supported as I do right now!  I know I've said it before, but God has surrounded me with people in my life who are so encouraging and supportive - even though sometimes I wonder how I would respond to someone with my story right now... they just keep smiling and reminding me that I will "land on my feet."  And I smile back - because I know they're right.
