I have a "mushkeel" with my toilet...

So... I finally have been inspired to post on this blog again!  AND, good news for anyone who has been having trouble viewing it - I went back to my old ways and just made it public, so you shouldn't need permission any more!

My friend Britt (a fellow RA from TCU... and the one who came to visit me in Peru!) and her hubby Pete are Peace Corps Volunteers in Morocco and as of yesterday I'm here visiting them and bebopping around this beautiful country for about three weeks!  I feel super fortunate to have such great friends who are willing to host me in all corners of the world.  And those who helped and supported me getting here (thanks adventure fund folks)!

From the moment I arrived, Morocco has been a real treat!  Within the first 24 hrs I had been welcomed into three homes, had both hands henna-ed, been gifted house shoes, a house dress and a Moroccan scarf... watched a delicious meal be prepared, eaten delicious foods, greeted and welcomed more times than I could count, witnessed the choosing and killing of two chickens for our lunch, and been privileged to many other sights most often seen in movies!

Britt and Pete are picking up this language (two languages really) amazingly fast and doing a great job keeping me translated for and in on all the fun!  The title of this post is a quote by Britt earlier today - a useful and necessary ArabEnglish statement... "mushkeel" means problem... !

Life is an adventure and these two are grabbing it by the horns - and letting me tag along for a bit of the fun!  More to come soon!
