♥️ Cartegena ♥️

From the colors, the music, the dancing to the amazing street food, super friendly people, and the beautiful beaches to the general laid back vibe and good energy pulsating through this small city - I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised or have enjoyed my stay more! I already want to go back - hopefully with Patrice next time!

One of my favorite hostels (if it had kitchen access, it would be my favorite hands down)!

Boca Grande - Modern Area

Hanging with new friends from the sailboat!

Chalk art!

Bookstore - it was fantastic!

Old Town - the clock tower and the Palenqueras (Women of Afro-Carribean herritage who wear traditional colorful dresses and carry fruit baskets on their heads - to sell)

View of Old Town from a stroll on top of its  protective walls

Went up to Castillo San Felipe yesterday at sunset - it was originally built starting in the 1600s to protect the city.

Then, I headed back to the lively Trinity Plaza - where I never failed to make a new friend, buy a $2 tall boy, eat some street food, and last night (as soon as mass let out of course) badass, super energetic community Zumba!

Even though I wasn't feeling totally ready to leave Cartegena, there was no better send off than impromptu Zumba! After some  challenges, and 20 hours of travel -including a taxi, 2 buses, and the metro - I'm now in Medellin!

Thanks for reading!
