Croatia

After 15 months of no travel, I'm diving in head first at the first green light (no surprise there)!  I just finished up my fourth day in the country and I gotta say, I'm LOVING it!  This GORGEOUS country is full of natural beauty and Croats also seem to be friendly and very hospitable. It stays light out until about 9/9:30 pm right now and the outdoor culture is fantastic - from the ever busy cafes to the live music to the parties in the town park - just walking along the promenade in each coastal city is pretty darn great, and that's not to mention these SUNSETS!

Noticings so far:

- There's a lot of smoking (even on the ferries!)

- Lots of people have pet dogs

- Vegan food options can be a bit tricky to find, but people are willing to try

- There seems to be a pretty strong distrust of the vaccine (maybe focused in small towns?)

- There are so many cultural influences here - such a long of history of wars over this land

Stop 1: Zagreb

Love these walkways in old town - felt like secret passageways with gorgeous trees providing shade and chirping birds providing a lovely soundtrack in the middle of the city!

Museum of Broken Relationships - What a fascinating exhibit!  I truly enjoyed these pieces and stories from around the world.

Stop 2: Plitvice Lakes National Park

Stop 3: Zadar

Stop 4: Sibenik & Krko National Park

Captions and comments to come - nodding off while trying to post this, so more later!
