Literally I was in Lincoln, Illinois today... a few miles north of Springfield to meet up with my good friend from high school, Kristi! It was great to spend a few hours catching up on life, families, and everyone we used to know and piece together what we know about them now! :) Oh, I didn't even mention that my amazing friend Mary P drove all the way up here to my parents' house in Springfield... from Joplin!!! She surprised me at the train station when I came down from Chicago! It was an great night of talking, showing pictures, etc. I will miss her SO much, but how cool that one of my great friends from high school and from college both tracked me down and we got to play catch up! So nice. I'm so blessed to have all of you great friends!
Til Later...

ReplyDeleteI finally found you :) I forgot your blog address so I had to google you, good old google!
How are you hun? So glad to hear you arrived home safe.
All's well with me. After you left I drove all the way to Hanmer Springs, bloody long drive, boring without you for company and no hitchikers along the way to kidnap.. Arrived and soaked in the hot pools which made 7 long hours drive worth it, ended up bumping into a guy I knew too. Small world!
(second half of my novel...)
ReplyDeleteOn Monday I drove to Kaikoura and had a great time there. Weather was mint and people were great. Went swimming with the dolphins and like you said it was amazing! Had a pod of about 250 swimming all around us, so cool!
On Friday I drove to Cheviot to my new Host sheep farm. Having a fantastic time here. I've been driving a tractor and helping with the sheep and the little cute lambs. Have been invited to stay until next week which I couldn't refuse cause the food and company is great (there are 3 other Wwofers the Hosts and a great young kiwi farm manager). Maybe I'll become a farmer?...
Anyways I better go!
All the best with your next adventure, keep in touch :)
Love Alicia
P.S.
Miss you heaps and your five toed shoes!hehe They'd go down a treat here in Cheviot just like my pink gumboots :P
Luv Leash xox

I laughed so hard when I got home and saw you had commented. I did the "I-got-my-first-comment" dance and felt like the lady from your movie. :)
