Use your imagination!

Ok, finally got some more pics to upload. Sorry I just have time to give a quick commentary, but hopefully you can use your imagination!

Simon, or Yaur (his Achuar name), who is one of my students, with his beautiful family... one night in staff quarters drinking Chica and just having a good time. Well, me mostly hanging out with his wife and kids, since all the others were men... and with everyone speaking only Achuar, it was a fun, challenging, funny experience!

Me (duh!) with Simon's youngest daughter, Patricia (4 months). Let's not talk about how diapers are not in use in these parts and how she peed on me twice to no one's surprise or worry! haha!

My "classroom" if you will! :) Really it's a converted bedroom in the staff quarters!

Two of my students, bartender and waiter at the lodge, with their project... we're learning the important things here, "See you later alligator, after a while crocodile!"

Two of my favorite students. They are Achuar guides, and some of my best, most motivated English speakers. They look pretty serious in this picture, but they're really fun guys! Don't let the paint of the lack of smiles fool you! Yesterday we learned "Stop it... stop bothering me... you're crazy!"
I can offically say this is the BIGGEST fish I have EVER seen. This obviously after the beheading and first attempts to chop it up for weighing Altogether is is some Amazonian variety of catfish that was over 200 POUNDS! I wasn't joking when I said everything is bigger in the Amazon!

One of my other loyal students who is the chef for the employees... posing with the tail of the giant fish! Which we then had in a stew for dinner and I'm fairly certain will be every lunch and dinner from here until the day I leave! hahaha!
Hope you enjoy! Write more soon!

I'm wondering Who made the earrings you're wearing? The crodile theme you're using teaching your students is one Grandpa and I used to say...
