FINALLY MORE PHOTOS!

Pictures of my apartment here in Potosí, which sadly I'm leaving today.

With three of my friend's sisters... at the wedding (the sister in law of the one on the left was the one getting married)

The wedding was on the 4th of July and as my friend, Pedro, had studied in the US... he too decided we HAD to celebrate!

One of the "bartenders" or waiters having a good time (to say the least) serving drinks to the crowd!

My friend, Pedro, and I were chosen to be put in "costume" and swung around the dance floor in a traditional Bolivian wedding dance.... it was embarrassing and interesting and fun all at the same time!

One of the two wedding cakes!

Another Bolivian wedding tradion! Bride and groom... up on shoulders, spraying beer on all the spectators!

They are given an absolutely HUGE piece of cake that they then SHOVEL and SHOVE into each other's mouths in a competition of who has a clean plate first! (painful to watch... look at the poor bride)!

The happy couple on the second day of festivities (can't you tell how happy they are)!

The family I ate lunch with every day at their son's baptism party!

The two Pedros and Reynaldo... the gang I hung out with while bumming around Potosí! Fun guys and guides!

Some of the girls and I hanging out chatting... neighborhood time... in the freezing cold!

The man responsible for my stint in Potosí on the left, Rolando, and two other teachers from the institute. My first friends here!

A car decorated in everything silver for one of the town's MANY celebrations and traditions!

One of my classes as we were ready to enter the mine for a practical experience!

My last time entering the mine.

My group with "El Tio." Enough said.
Wow, what an experience Potosí has been. So much learned... so much gained.
Now it's off to La Paz (10 hour bus ride), from there back to Arequipa (12 hour bus ride), and then finally Lima (16 hour bus ride). WHEW! Oh, wait then the 6 hour flight to Miami and 3 hours to Chicago... a long journey in front of me. Many goodbyes and several hellos to look forward to.
Hope you enjoyed some of the last pictures of this South American journey!
