Washingtonian?

Is that even a word?  Someone told me yesterday that we were becoming "Washingtonians..."  Well that's because Mariela (a girl from Atlanta and in my program) and I went to eat sushi after church yesterday, then headed to an international market of crafts, jewelry, etc. and then met up with a few others from our school to go see what this Drum Circle was about.  We were invited by a second year student and it was SO cool!  Basically it's a pickup African drumming group that happens every Sunday in a park and about two or three hundred people show up to drum, dance, have a picnic, or just plain people watch.  And let me tell you, you can watch and watch the people and NOT get bored... EVER! :)

I found myself wishing that so many of my students from INA in Fort Worth could make it here to be a part of all of this and how much easier their lives would be in some ways... what with international food stores, markets with goods from all over the world, music and dancing and restaraunts... it's all here seemingly!

Ok, back to reading.
Thanks for the comments!
Kate
