Ok, so here's a link to the trailer of the documentary Crude, that I mentioned in my earlier post... it just came out in the states and I have no idea if it's actually in theaters or available on DVD, but I'm sure you can find it.
It would truly be one of THE BEST ways to understand what's going on here in Ecuador and especially with the indigenious groups of the Amazonian Rainforest... and why I'm here.

This is so sad. We don't think about what is sometimes happening in other parts of the world. It will take a long time to disappear, even if they clean it all up.

My computer has a virus and it will hopefully be fixed soon. gma is anxious for you to come home before you get malaria :) You have been experiencing some really different things...we pray for you every day...and we send a big ol hug. Gma wants you to know she is going to chillocothe this evening with your mom and my mom. We got the gold medal in the olympics for mens skating...which is th first since 1988...He was good. We are thinking of you while we watch the Olympics

Well you were an important part of our Sunday School Class. I think most were torn between wanting the experience and not wanting to deal with the wildlife: rats, snakes, crocs. Good experience for us bystanders.
ReplyDeleteEmily and your Dad had fun today. She forgot to do the prayer on time and he ribbed her, but she had a rebuital, "That's why my mom paid all this money to send me to college." That left him speechless for a second or two, but then it continued. You would have enjoyed it. Didn't get to see your grandma. She and your aunt left right after Early Worship. Hope there was some kind of "treat" for you this week. Praying for your safety and wellfare.
