- went to see giant caymans last night, but they didn't want to be found... we didn't spot even one
- it rained and rained and rained... the lagoon "appeared" overnight so that now it is obvious why all the huts and walkways are raised
- which also means the river rose (more than a meter and a half in one night!) and caused the canoe of one of my students to tip over and the motor was lost (sunk, or down stream... no one knows) really sad cause that's like the equivilant of your car motor disappearing- in these parts at least
- i spent the last hour or so scrubbing my clothes with a bar of laundry soap and a lackluster faucet and bucket... just in time to hang them up to dry in time for it to rain again!
- the flight tomorrow is more than full with passengers and fuel meaning one of the employees doesn't get to leave on his vacation AND my one of my bags STILL hasn't arrived and won't tomorrow
- the internet just disappeared all evening and all morning this morning causing problems for just about everyone (guests included)
- did i mention the humidity is something like 98% here.. seriously?!
Oh yeah, then there's all the plants, animals, and amazing people that make up for all that not-so-amazing stuff!
wet clothes and a lost bag? you have so much more patience than me. everything sounds like such an adventure, though. jealous.
