too much!

Well between a bank almost going bankrupt including an entire night of panic (also consisting of swat team police, all the ATMs being emptied of cash, and jammed pack phone lines), a school's anniversary parade that closed down the ENTIRE center of town, my friend Pedro's wallet being stolen from my purse (it's a REALLY long, bad story that I won't get into), going up to the mine again and FINALLY feeling like I might be touching on part of my purpose here (got to talk two 15 year old boys into coming to my English class... I hope I hope I hope), and my two "best" friend here, guides at the agency where I have all my connections deciding to quit after they've been guiding with this company since they were 12 years old... let's just say life here in Potosì has proven to be a little hectic lately. YIKES!
As I write this at 8pm on Sat. night there is some kind of marching band playing outside the window... I have no idea in the world what could be left to celebrate... maybe it's Dog's Day or something! :) I'm serious.
Well, off to catch a movie with the girl who is the secretary of the travel agency. Back to the 1920s theater... should be entertaining again!
Oooo, and I also FINALLY have another camera. Found a good used one and it's seems to be working out well so far! Yea!
Much love, Kate

  1. Sounds like you have had the lowest lows and the highest highs. Do believe that is called life. :)
Pray this week is a little more middle of the road for you.

  2. Kate Grand'ma says you just seem to have one experience after another! Aunt saundra got your nice letter and really appreciated it, miss you and will be glad when you are home. Drew helped me today get rid of evading ants, and took me to air show yesterday, but was cancelled because of weather conditions.
