I'm in Paris!!! My flight was terrific, had the whole row to myself and free movies and wine... can it get better?!
I arrived about 5pm and took the train to Cathédrale Notre-Dame (had no idea, just wanted to get "downtown")...
I have walked for the past 8 hours - just following along the canal - with the only exception being about 45 minutes at a cafe for dinner and a glass of wine. My "dogs are barking" as Patrice would say :-) But, Paris is impressive. It's my first time - the Tour Eiffel is pretty darn cool. I climbed the stairs to the second floor then took the elevator up to the tippy top just in time for sunset!
Paris is also expensive!!! I'm gonna be lucky to get out of here for one afternoon/evening/night under $100.
It's after 1 am, my hostel is great... I'm gonna sleep very well for the next six hours until I have to get up and head back to the airport!
Wanted to upload some pictures, but my camera cord is in my big pack (checked through to India)... as is my deodorant (oops!)... at least I remembered my toothbrush :-) Here's to a stinkin' (pun intended) long travel day tomorrow!
