Magical

As I sit here on the rooftop terrace of my hotel:
The sun has set
The kites have flown
The delicious chicken tiki masala has been eaten
The calls to prayer have been sung
The monkeys have made their presence known
The Kingfisher beer has been downed
The car horns  have honked
The pictures have been taken

The Taj Mahal is magical in these moments...
It's hard to believe this is my life...

Until I feel the pain of blisters covering the bottom of my feet and remember the sweat pouring down every inch of my body...
It's like the pinch that reminds you that no matter how magical,  you are real - this is real.
