G'Day Mates... I'M HERE!

I made it to Sydney after 3.5 hours in LAX, 15 hours on the plane, and 2.5 hours at the airport on this end! Whew! I was just sure I needed a shower and nap, but I was too excited to do either of those! I made my bed up in the hostel (which they gave me a dorm with only 6 beds instead of 10 and the welcome extras packet since I had to wait for my free shuttle so long at the airport) and then I was off and walking with a guy name Filirico or something like that, from Italy. He stopped off at the Australian Natural Science museum and I kept on walking to just explore and see what I could find. What I found was the HARBOR... Opera house, bridge, ferries, and all! It really is breathtaking. I find it hard to explain why it's so downright amazing, but it really is... you turn the corner out of downtown (or CBD) and there it is - in all it's glory! And get this, there is an adventure company that lets you climb the bridge and there were all these teeny tiny people up on the the very tip top of the massive bridge looking down at the opera house! Whoa! Anyway the only bummer is that my camera battery ran out and the other wasn't charged (what was I thinking???) so now I'm back at the hostel trying to remedy that situation and then it's off to a famous cafe de wheels for a "pie" (something like a pot pie or shepard's pie I think). I miss you all already, and I wish you were here experiencing this wonderful country with me! I will try to post pictures when I get some of them downloaded.
BTW, it's 2:50pm on Thursday (I arrived this morning at like 6:45am their time) in case you were wondering!
